in #sports5 years ago

The best performances Weekly! It’s Sunday and like every Sunday it’s time to discuss the NBA Surprises.
Welcome back to my weekly list! Can’t believe the season is on again. I really enjoyed making this series last season and I am happy to start sharing year 2!

Like every week I would like to share my take on the most impressive performances and players that surprised me.
I always take in consideration the teams play and winning streak, playing well individually but your team is not does not earn you a spot on the Haas picks list.. Ready for the top performers of week?
Here are my top performances.

Pascal Siakam
Let me please start with Pascal Siakam! Will he be most improved player of the year this year? If he keeps up his play I will vote for him for sure.
The Raptors as a team play great and are 12-1! Will they beat the Warriors record? No don’t think so but this week they beat the Lakers, Jazz and Kings. Against the Lakers they started they game with a 42-17 sprint to finish the game after the first quarter.
But let’s talk about Siakam for a bit; he scored just under 20 points for the week and had his 23 point career high as well. So please everybody watch the Raptors to learn more about this great team.
Also great to watch Ibaka play at the moment.

CJ McCollum
The Blazers finished the season on a low last year when they got beat by the Pelicans in the first round of the play-offs and many people included myself thought they had to change it up in order to be succesfull.
This week they beat the Wolves, Bucks and Clippers and look great again. For now they are second in the west and look like a strong play-off team again.
This week McCollum scored 40 points and showed us the Blazers are not done yet.

Quinn Cook
I love this guy, he is sitting on the bench and just watches Curry shine every game, I really respect the way he stays ready. With Curry out he scored 27 points and as a role player he scored 13 and 15 points! I like his career path and like to see him for the Warriors.

Jrue Holiday
Can the Pelicans really break out this year, they lost some good players so we will have to see. I like the addition of Randle and even more what Holiday is doing for the team. He averaged 20 points and over 10 assists this week, that will really help the team win!
Still thinking about going to a game one day to enjoy the city.

Mike Conley
Happy he is healthy again! Don’t believe in the Grizzlies longterm, they are getting old a bit and need to look inti a new identity. However Conley showed some good strong play this week. And just look at the standing, they might just squeeze into the play-offs!
