#29 Play-offs Surprises and top performers week 4 (Haas News)
The Stars of the fourth week of the NBA play-offs.
Hi welcome back everybody! Like most of you know I posted about the regular season of the NBA weekly but I am super happy the play-offs arrived and there were so many great games already! Super happy to with this time a year and am very excited to see what will happen and who will be champions this year.
During the play-offs I will post once a week about the top performers like I did during the regular season and I will post about my predictions per round.
So are you ready for the top performers of the fourth week?! By now my beloved Raptors are send home (destroyed by the king) and the conference finals are on its way! And the series are getting more intense by the week, are you ready for this week’s players of the week?
Here are my this week’s favorites.
Kevon Looney
I just felt I had to start with Kevon, why? because teams look for a X-factor in the play-offs and it’s all about matchups. McGee and Zaza hardly play in the series so far, and Kevon is really helping the Warriors playing close to 20 minutes a game. He is getting them 2nd change points, he defends smaller players well and is just a great big body to get Capela away from the board. Let’s see what his role will be when the Rockets make it to the final.
Kevin Durant
Everybody knows what KD can do and it’s surprise he made it to the list especially after his play in the first two games of the series in Houston. He scored 37 points on average in Houston making sure the Warriors could leave Houston with a split.
He will be the reason the Warriors can even afford an injury and still have fire power to beat opponents.
PJ Tucker
I love PJ Tucker and what he brings, he made it to this regular season list many times, his hard work, leadership and determination really set the tone in games. He scored only 1 point in game one of the series, but in the second game he scored a career high 22 points! 5-6 on three pointers and really was the reason won! Therefore he made it to the list. He showed how much the Rockets need him.
Marcus Smart
The reasons on Tucker making the list I can use for Marcus Smart as well. I just think every team need a player like this. Lebron send the Raptors home and the Celtics need everybody they have to make it to the finals. I still think they will make it the finals and Smart will help them set the tone.
Averaging 7 assist is huge, making the ball move and making sure it’s in the right hands.
Stephen Curry
He made it to this list for his play in the third quarter of the third game! What a show! I still think Curry is trying to get his legs bag after injury and it showed a bit in the first two games of the series with poor shooting, but if you can turn a game completely in one quarter you deserve to be on this list!
I predict a final between the Celtics and Warriors!

@heyitshaas No matter what, Morris and Horford are the key for the Celtics. If Morris keeps James in check and Horford owns the paint, the Game 3 blemish will be an afterthought. We will see tonight. As for the West, the Warriors were on fire in the second half last night, especially Curry. I thought the Rockets figured out the Warriors Achillles Heel with the pick and roll switch on Curry, but the dubs figured it out. If the Cavs win tonight, it will take a valiant effort by the Celtics to regain momentum in game 5. Nice writeup, dude.
thanks for stopping by! so nice to interact with NBA minded people, did see Curry struggle the first two games in the pick and roll. maybe some players dont get enough credit by me because i just expect them to be great (Horford) he is always great and really is important to the team. I believe that if the Cavs wont make it to the final, Lebron will look for a other team. Enjoy the game, going to bed now, will watch it tomorrow morning, dislike time difference!!

Hey really truly @heyitshaas, Looney, and PJ Tucker they were a top performance in this series!!, in special PJ Tucker, in the game 2!!!, and I agree with @jgullinese that must include Marcus Morris and Al Horford in Game 1 and 2 in the TD GARDEN.

Lebron is struggling lol
LeBron did not have a good week and you are right to exclude him for your list. Maybe he is human too and he need some days to recover.
Last night he had a great game 4 and Cavaliers tied the series, so I am not sure of the finals between Boston and GSW.
On the other hand Houston had a bad night in game 3, but they are 1-2 in the series and I do not think they are over. Probably game 4 will have the answer.
Lebron is having a postseason for the ages. He could get his fadeaway shot anytime he wants, but chooses to get his teammates involved. I just can't see the Celtics taking down Lebron without Kyrie. If that happens, Lebron is definitely leaving the Cavs this summer.
