Tour De France champion Chris Froome is rammed off his bike by hit-and-run driver on training ride in south of France.
Chris Froome has tweeted a photo of his ravaged bicycle in the wake of being smashed off the street by an attempt at manslaughter driver while preparing in southern France.
The Team Sky rider, who won a year ago's Tour de France, said he had been 'smashed deliberately by a fretful driver who tailed me onto the asphalt'.
Froome, who lives in Monaco, told his 1.3million Twitter supporters he was "alright" however that his bicycle had been "totaled" in the impact.
That's one of the bigger problems of today's world, people are to impatient and in a hurry to get anywhere. I am glad he is OK.
People who get upset over bicyclists blow my mind.
As a runner, I know how dangerous the roads can be.
