Minnesota Timberwolves Blog # 007 : Post Playoff Review

in #sports7 years ago

FINALLY!!!! After more than 13 years of seasons without playoffs we have made it to the Play offs, Yes we lose in the first round only coming up with one win against the Houston Rockets but as a fan the most important thing is we brought back the play off games in Minnesota. We also have to sacrifice our very own first round pick that has a condition that if we entered the play offs we will give our pick to Atlanta Hawks.

We fell down in the 8th which we barely made it against a do or die match against the Denver Nuggets due to the reason of Jimmy Butler getting injured which he missed 17 out of the 20 games remaining in the season. With those 17 games missed the Timberwolves only won 8 of them which showed the importance of the play maker.  From being a 3rd seed team after the all-star break we battle are way down to the 8th seed, which as a fan is heartbreaking to see. Also as a consequence being an 8th seed we faced the 1st seeded team which is Houston.

We have the best Timberwolves team ever since the Garnett Big Three (Sam and Sprewell). Having Jeff Teague, Taj Gibson, as well as Jamal Crawford in the Free Agency made the Timberwolves a lot better and the season has proven it. But with all the trades and signings and extensions (Andrew Wiggins) we might be suffering in the next off season a salary cap situation. Even though Jamal Crawford opted out of his player option it still is not enough to create space for some notable moves in the free agency. But everything can change with one trade. Hopefully Thibs has seen the team's flaws and make it better.
