Miami Dolphins trade Jay Ajayi to the Philidelphia Eagles
Miami Dolphins have traded their star running back to the Philadelphia Eagles. Ajayi who had a pro bowl year last season with three games over 200 yards rushing, and 1,272 on the season, was traded for a 4th round pick. The reason for the trade is probably because Ajayi hasn't been very productive this season with 3.4 yards per carrying average. He also has not found the end-zone yet this season with 0 touchdowns in 7 games. Gase has criticized the Miami running backs for trying to hit home runs instead of getting the yards given. Gase also said there are players who have not been studying enough, and his playbook has been simplified because of it. It seems Gase is not happy with Ajayi's work ethic.
As a Miami Dolphins fan, I am sad to see the Jtrain gone. His season last year was incredible. He smashed through multiple tackles and looked like a freight train on the loose. I was excited to see the same productivity this year, but it never happened. I still think Ajayi has the skills to do it again, unfortunately, it won't be with the Dolphins. Terrible deal in the fact he offers little over what blount brings and hes had so much damage in his knees already his nfl lifespan is already doomed. For what they paid it was decent, just not needed
Ya, I figure that might be one of the reasons Miami got rid of him. Could be showing signs of his knees going bad like what was predicted coming out of college.
