Muscular and Mobility Imbalances - Bodyweight/Calisthenics Training 021
Today I found it super interesting to find that the mobility in my Right Shoulder is significantly less than my Left Shoulder. There is no glaring reason I can think of that would have causes such an imbalance such as an old injury. Anyways, I decided that I would take some photos to document the differences and then perform regular stretches to to improve this.
I will be interest to find out how long it will take to make a difference.
Thank you for joining me on my Calisthenics Journey, I hope you feel inspired to appreciate the potential of your own body.
You know what? I just tried that and my right is actually a bit less flexible also. It never occurred to me to compare my flexibility to each side like that. Very interesting, thanks for posting that
Your welcome :) did you read @khufu comment below? Do you find tightness in the opposite hip also?
That's fairly common, I see that in most of my clients to different degrees when I put them through their movement screen on their first session.
Our torso works like an X in one sense and tightness in one shoulder can often correspond to tightness in the opposite hip.
I get them doing original strength re-sets and rocking exercises to help balance things out.
Wow, thanks for offering me so much information! This is great to know :)
Interesting comparison. Lovely as well. Upvoted. Resteemed.
