Ronda Rousey Joins the WWE!
Former UFC champion, and mega hot dime piece, Ronda Rousey has joined the WWE. There were reported rumours beforehand but it's now been made official after she appeared during Sunday's Royal Rumble in Philadelphia.
The 30 year old former cage fighter will take to the squared circle to earn a living after a very successful MMA career. She will now wrestle under the name Rowdy Ronda Rousey, paying homage to former wrestling superstar and legend Rowdy Roddy Piper.
WWE is already selling her merch with the familiar colors many old school wrestling fans will immediately recognize.
While it may seem like a downgrade from her prestigious UFC career, she walks away as one of the most popular figures in the history of the sport, but Ronda will immediately make a huge impact as her popularity and name recognition is immense. This will be easy money for the woman who took combat sports to heights they've never seen and it's a no brainer for Vince McMahon to partner with her.
While I haven't really payed attention to wrestling in years, I'll probably check her out to see if she's got any acting chops and to see what her finishing move will be? 😎

But as you say, she had an amazing career and moving on to WWE is definitely something honourable in my opinion.
Haven't watch wrestling for decades either but would be a blast to check her out.

Be sure to watch last night's Royal Rumble and NXT Takedown fro Saturday. The Women's Division has really come into its own and NXT is the best wrestling out there. Note that it is now Women vs Divas or Knockouts or Babes, etc.

Good for her. I don't really watch WWE but she's a great athlete I think she'll do just fine :)
It is very pleasing to continue to sports life. watching such a beautiful woman will be very exciting. I think it will succeed. If you are in different fields, you really need courage to do this sport.
