Here comes edition No. 3 of famous German athletes. Boris Becker is the one that made Tennis to become a popular sports in Germany. He managed that in his high times people over here favoured Tennis vs. Football and that means something. Boris has been born and raised near my Home Town in Leimen and is near my age but what a difference! He is an icon even now - a hero of Tennis, obviously also some private happenings helped to raise profile (good or bad who cares). He is a personality no doubt with all his human failures. I like him very much!

Boris Franz Becker is a German former world No. 1 professional tennis player. He was successful from the start of his career, winning the first of his six major singles titles when he was 17 - and this was Wimbledon - his so called living room.

After his playing career he has engaged in numerous ventures, including coaching Novak Djokovic for three years.

He owned some companies, was TV expert, coach, author and recently was officially declared bancrupt in the UK - however the last is bollocks and just another thing that helps him media wise.
