Premier League Week 6

Week 6 saw a continuation on the flow of goals in the Premier League with 29 across 10 games.

There were 5 goals shared at the Olympic stadium where Tottenham raced into a 3-0 lead before West Ham pulled back 2 goals and were denied a penalty in the last minute. Spurs saw new defender Serge Aurier sent off for 2 bookings.

Manchester City kept up their early season form with a 5-0 win at home to Crystal Palace. Leroy Sane scored the first before two Raheem Sterling goals, and one each for Aguero and Delph wrapped things up. Palace have now lost all 6 games without scoring it did hit the post through Ruben Loftus-Cheek when the game was still goalless.

Alvaro Morata continued his good start to his Chelsea career with a hat-trick against Stoke City. The first game in the 2nd minute with the other two goals coming after half time. Pedro scored the other goal after a mistake by Darren Fletcher.

Leicester and Liverpool clashed for the second time in a week with the Reds avenging their League Cup defeat against the Foxes. Mo Salah scored the opening goal from a Coutinho cross before the Brazilian scored direct from a free kick. Olazaki pulled one back for Leicester before Jordan Henderson increased Liverpool's lead again. Jamie Vardy then pulled a second back before seeing a penalty saved by Simon Mignolet.

Jose Mourinho was sent to the stands whilst watching Manchester United beat Southampton 1-0. United bossed the first half with Romelu Lukaku scoring on a rebound after his first shot was saved. Southampton were far better in the second half but could not find an equaliser.

In Monday night's game West Brom appeared to be denied a penalty early on. Jay Rodriguez got back to his feet and saw his shot turned onto the post with no foul given. Arsenal went on to win 2-0 with both goals coming from Lacazette.
