Friends of Steemit, in this post, I will start by telling you the beginnings of modern baseball and its founder Alexander Cartwright, in addition to naming who was the first commissioner. Kenesaw Mountain Landis. It has been said for many years that Abner Doubleday is the inventor of Baseball and this was his greatest fame, apart from belonging to the army of the union in the Civil War with rank of General, apart from being the first to shoot in the war civilian in the fort Sumter, exist sources that attribute to him like the creator of this sport, nevertheless, the never affirmed it, it never said it. There is no real and concrete proof that Abner Doubleday had created, practiced and even known baseball. That is why Alexander Cartwright is given all the honor. I hope you like my sports publication.

Who Invented Baseball?

Alexander Joy Cartwright is often named the "Precursor of Modern Baseball". Although the denomination is a bit exaggerated. Cartwright was a founder and an influential member of the Knickerbocker Baseball Club of New York City, the first organized baseball team. Cartwright played an important role in the first published rules of the game, including the concept of foul territory, the distance between the bases, the inning of three outs, and the elimination of removing the runners by throwing the ball to them to hit them.

On June 19, 1846, the first organized baseball meeting in history took place, between the Knickerbockers and the New York Nine, at the "Elysian Fields" in Hoboker, New Jersey. United States of America. It was the first game played under the rules of Cartwright, who was also a member of the Knickerbockers. When the time came to start the game, they found they did not have umpire, so Cartwright took over the role (logically because nobody knew the rules of baseball, better than him) and became the umpire. The game only lasted four innings, winning the New York Nine, 23 to 1.

Alexander Cartwright left New York in 1849 and settled in Hawaii where he became chief of the Honolulu firefighters during the fifties of the nineteenth century.

"The game Cartwright left in the East, as his legacy to the nation, became a hobby that his followers took beyond their dreams"
Lee Allen, (Writer and Historian).

Who was the first commissioner?

Kenesaw Mountain Landis was the first commissioner in the history of baseball and was elected to the position on November 12, 1920, and helped to restore public confidence in baseball after the scandal of the Chicago Black Sox in 1919. He was the district judge of the United States of America. He ejected eight players of the Chicago Black Sox for life, despite the acquittal ruled by a court. Landis subsequently issued other decrees using the "Absolute Power" to guarantee him and the team owners the integrity of the game, including guaranteeing free agency to hundreds of players in the minor leagues. He remained in office until November 25, 1944.

Buen post.

I think it's wonderful that you are entering the English content, my friend is very successful
