ummm, i think so... this was a special match because both Macho Man and Ultimate Warrior were baby faces at the time. The involvement of Perfect and Ric Flair was meant to indicate that one of them had turned heel. I remember reading that the idea was that Warrior was meant to turn to be a bad guy but adamantly refused to do so. I think this was the same year the McMahon fired him as well so this pay per view might have been the catalyst for all of that.
