Sha'Carri Richardson tests positive for cannabis, gets removed from Olympic team.

If she had gotten shit-faced drunk, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have been an issue.

The obsession over marijuana is absolutely insane.

Olympic logic:

A woman who went through male puberty can compete with levels of testosterone four times the normal levels of cis-women, which would have been regarded as doping in women's competition in previous games.

A woman who smoked pot, which if anything would hinder her performance, must be suspended for substance abuse.

Let's not forget, that during her Olympic trials, she was grieving the loss of her mother, going through more than "emotional panic."

To top it off, Richardson must now kowtow her position even though in my book, she has done nothing to enhance her performance to the extent that it would be considered "cheating."

How about.. we direct resources at catching people parodying the spirit of fair competition, if she was caught using performance enhancing drugs then I'd be the first to agree with her being removed from the Olympic team, but clearly that isn't the case here.
