USA WINS FIBA WORLD CUP : A NO SHOCKER RESULT
Yeahhh you probably cheered all night. Just woke up and saw this on sports headlines and I was like so? Normally I wouldn't expect anyone who plays basketball on the streets, watches the NBA on tv to be surprised or even find this exciting(pardon me, I actually love the team), one thing I love most in sports is upsets(the favorites losing at some point) but this might not happen soon with USA on the dominating run, I mean what do you expect from a country that invented the sport, has the best league and the best players in the world, sure they're gonna whip teams from other parts of the world. USA are the game owners and the main game show so I wasn't turned on a bit when their female national team won last night, they were the best in the just concluded tournament and they deserve to win. What do you think would have happened if it was their male counterparts who was playing yesterday? Just as Brittney Griner scored 15points to help the team take the championship title, you'd hear something like 'Lebron James in his superman self' making a double-double or even a triple-double so tell me why won't they win the game or beat anybody. Surely in the coming years this team is a bang on the nail(till we get an upset for sure) they are a safe bet and congratulations to them.
