Barcelona break silence on Neymar's £199m world record move to PSG as Brazilian is exiled from training.
Barcelona have confirmed that Paris Saint-Germain target Neymar intends to leave the club but insisted his €222 million buyout clause must be paid in full.
"FC Barcelona returned to training this Wednesday morning after the American tour, the first part of a double session at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
The Brazil international was photographed driving into Barca training but the club then announced on Twitter: "Neymar Jr hasn't trained on Wednesday with the permission of the coach."
"Before the morning session began, Neymar Jr. informed those present of his wish to leave the Club and was therefore given permission to miss training and resolve his future."
Contacted by ESPN FC, a Barcelona spokesperson said: "Firstly, the player came to training today as expected; secondly, he spoke to his teammates to say goodbye because his intention is to leave the club; and thirdly, due to the situation the manager has given him permission not to train."
Reports in Spain are claiming that as part of the negotiations to take Neymar to PSG, the player wants to play one last game for Barcelona and it will be against Chapecoense in Joan Gamper trophy, beacuse his future now is confirmed.
FC Barcelona would need to spend that money wisely in order to be able to compete with Real Madrid CF again.

It would be more prudent to delay replacing Neymar and risk not winning competitions but instead invest the money in many of the game's promising youths. This way they are more likely to end up with another holy trinity in a few years.
