Waiting for Pyeonchang 2018

23rd Winter Olympics games will start friday at South Korea's highlands country Pyeonchang.

Before the opening ceremony; i want to bring back to 1980 Winter Olympics for the most dramatic Ice Hockey story of the Winter Olympics History.

United States Ice Hockey Team joined the Winter Olympics with the amateur players; in the group matches, they won the Czechoslovakia match and draw with Sweden, this scores were suffice for semi-finals. But the oponent in the semi-final is the U.S.S.R who was the favourite for golden medal.

Before the match day, a columnist of New York Times wrote an article which says "a miracle for the US to win the match"
In the semi-final game's second period finished with the 3-2 lead of U.S.S.R; but the first minutes of last period aıdiences watched 2 Unites States goal and US gained the score with a 4-3, they keeped this advantage to the end of the game; in the last seconds, announcer ask the commentor if he were trust miracles; and he said "yes" when the counter to point to 0:00, it is the one of the most historical moments in the Winter Olympics.

In the final this amateur players defeated the Finland National Team and won the golden medal.

American Cinema industry did not miss out this chance and they passed on it to the cinema with a name of "Miracle On Ice" one year later of this historical success.
