Former unified light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev won the vacant WBO light heavyweight title in devestating fashion against fringe contender, Vyacheslav Shabranskyy. Sergey Kovalev once held the WBO light heavyweight title, along side the IBF and WBA titles before he lost to American future hall of famer Andre Ward.

While Kovalev was a big favorite to win this fight, the question was how he would look after back to back defeats to Ward and he passed the questions asked by flying colors.
