Pitcher Projections:

Everyone had Pineda, but SP2 was split between Hoffman, Eickhoff, Ramirez, Peacock, and Greinke. I ruled out Peacock because he was a relief pitcher making a spot start on 3 days rest because of an injury to Dallas Keuchel, so there was no way he would pitch 5 innings. I figured Hoffman/Eickhoff/Ramirez would all garner ownership, so none of them would be chalky enough to be scary fading. Finally my Greinke lineup gave up only half a point, and taking the better pitcher increases your floor over the riskier ones, so I trusted my instincts. Once choosing Greinke, it was the only lineup that made sense: everything else gave up at least .2 and had less popular players.

Similar situation to Draftkings: my optimal lineups had Jeff Hoffman, but very solid Greinke lineups were close enough that taking the higher floor was likely the better play. I decided to split lineups: Belt+Posey vs Goldschmidt+Descalso. I was fading some very chalky plays: Zobrist and Peralta were both over 50% owned, and my Jeff Hoffman lineups had them, but I couldn't turn down Greinke while downgrading Zobrist+Peralta to cheap hitters in great spots.

Opted to split lineups again, but just a 1v1 here with Rizzo over Belt for 40% of my buyins:

Unlike the other sites, Greinke was popular on Yahoo due to a more affordable price. Greinke/Pineda/Willson/Zobrist/Bryant/Blanco/Almora were locks, but 1b (Cabrera), SS (Russell, Lindor), and OF3 (Seth Smith, Cargo, McCutchen) had other options. Other than Belt, my players performed by far the worst of all the choices, so I'm lucky to break even here tonight.

Erased most of the losses from Wednesday-Friday of last week. Today is a huge slate with 15 games, so going to work extra hard to prevent a situation like Friday where I was short on time with a large disparity between what I wanted to play and what the numbers told me to play.
