Major League Baseball (MLB), the highest professional baseball authority in the United States, passed a change to the rule of intentional baseball, moving from the traditional four-pitch walk to a signal from the dugout.

The measure was accepted to take effect for the 2017 season. Instead of making the four throws outside the strike zone, the batter will be sent to first base after a signal from the leader from the bench. Usually, the intentional goal is to lift four fingers.

Yadier Molina became the first player to receive the blissful automatic ballpark of history, in the game between Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals.
