WHAT A GREAT PERFORMANCE FROM POGBA AND THE TEAM

I once wrote earlier the need for Pogba to live up to expectations and his potential especially in big games here.

I have no doubt that he is a big player whom if everything goes well for him has the potential to dictate the beautiful games for years. And I am such very elated for his performance in the victory against our noisy neigbhour at their backyard, Etihad.

The main man gave his all chipping in 2 crucial goals at a crucial period that turned the game around in favour of Manchester Utd with the game ending 3-2 to the visiting team after going 2 goals down at half time.

Even though he was the subject of a mind game leading to the match by the tactical Pep Guardiola, he went on to deliver without allowing the opposition manager comments affect him. And after the game he went to the travelling away fans' section to make a gesture that can be best interpreted as "what Pep was talking about should be discarded"; indicating his loyalty to the club.

His manager, Mourinho was full of his praises for the great efforts he said he put into training during the week leading to the game. And of course that paid off.

Pogba, 25, was able to silence his critics with a match winning performance and reminded the football community why 89 million pounds was paid to acquire his service; deservedly going home with the Man-of-the-Match Award.
