Standings After Week 2

Another exciting week of fantasy football has concluded. We had six action packed match ups, let's break them down and take a look at the franchise records.

Week 2 Breakdowns

The Pot Heads vs The Pink Socks

Ezekiel Elliot and Theo Riddick lost the game for The Potheads. The benching of James White didn't help matters either. Otherwise most of the Potheads played well. It just wasn't enough to overcome the 20+ point performances by three players of The Pink Socks. And to make things worse, The Pink Socks' kicker Matt Bryant, put up a whopping 14.40 points. It was a good matchup till the end, and that's when The Pink Socks just pulled away and sealed the deal.

Smokin' Moons vs Lucksacks.com

The Lucksacks were handed their first loss by Smokin' Moons. It was a well fought effort, with an amazing performance by Michael Crabtree, and a pretty decent showing from his QB, Derek Carr. However, the 0 points from Jordy Nelson was not the statement he was looking to make; and the 1.8 points from Kenny Golloday didn't help his cause. Smokin's team was carried by rock solid showings from Devonte Freeman, and Gronk. Let's hope Gronk is ready to go for week 3.

BlitzRix vs Bacchist

Both teams here had fairly lackluster showings. Most of their players played below their expectations for the week. The monster game from Denver RB C.J. Anderson was the catalyst that propelled Blitz into victory; coming Monday night mind you. Just in time... Now if Bacchist had not benched the 24 point performance from Travis Kelce, we may be singing a different tune this morning.

Cloud Crushers vs Waffles-n-Syrup

These two franchises were involved in a hard fought battle. Easily the best matchup of the week. The eventual winner, Cloud Crushers, won by a mere margin of about 6 points. Waffles had massive game from his QB Tom Brady and a surprising 25+ point performance from Chris Thompson of the Washington Redskins. Sadly that was not enough to seal the win. Perhaps if he had started Matt Forte as his # 2 RB, he could have won the match, but that is easier said, after the fact. The Cloud Crushers continue to rack up wins behind the new beast mode that is Kareem Hunt.

MissiontotheMoon vs Daut44

MissiontotheMoon got their #2 on the win column with this weeks stellar performance. Jason Witten carried the team with an astounding 25.7 points. Not bad from an aging TE. Despite Ty Montgomery's big game of 29 points, and Todd Gurley's 26 points, Daut44 was handed his first loss. The 0 points from injured RB David Johnson was just too much to overcome.

Stargate Worlds vs The Kebab Kings

Week 2 brought up two teams head to head that desperately needed a win. Sadly only one of them was to be named victor. Neither team showed much enthusiasm, lots of below average performances. If not for the 23 point game from JJ Nelson, Stargate Worlds may have let this one slip by. As for The Kebab Kings, it's okay man. You and I are both 0-2, and I see many more non-victories for us in the future. This is just the beginning.
