DFS DRAWING BOARD - NFL Week 11 - Wide Receivers

in #sports6 years ago

Welcome back to another edition of the DFS Drawing Board.  This article we focus in on the WR position for Week 11.  If you haven't already, please check out the RB article and QB article, posted earlier today.  Last week we had some pretty good key picks in the likes of Julio Jones, Josh Gordon and Corey Davis.  Unfortunately Tyler Boyd really stunk up the place but to be honest, I didn't have much ownership of him simply due to how much hype he was getting.  In any case, this article is going to be a bit abbreviated due to time constraints.  I am going to lay out the picks below similar to how I would the "OTHER CONSIDERATIONS" section.  The guys I like with quick bullet points as to why.  Good luck!

Each week we take a step back to review the upcoming weeks matchups and crunch the numbers to develop a series of position specific articles related to top daily fantasy sports plays. Whether you are playing on FanDuel, DrafKings, or even configuring your season long NFL lineups, these articles should serve as a reference tool and helpful guide to choosing the best players. I've shortened these articles to give you only the necessities and bottom-line reasoning as to my top choices. This is a no bullshi*t article and by that I mean the players and plays I suggest are those that I will be using in my personal lineups. Nothing is excluded. We intend to win. The goal is to make great lineups, win money, and share our success stories. If you are new to my blog or daily fantasy sports in general, I encourage you to check out my DFS Introduction post which provides some general context on what DFS is and how to play. Spoiler alert, if you like playing fantasy sports and winning money, DFS is the platform for you. Also, if you haven’t already, feel free to follow my referral links and sign up for Fanduel and Draftkings. Each provides its own set of bonuses for new users.

With that being said, here are my top plays at the wide reciever position for Week 11. Enjoy, upvote, and comment on your weekly outlook.

WIDE RECEIVERS

Michael Thomas - $8,800 - Saints

  • Very expensive but if you can fit him, worth every penny.  Ideal matchup at home vs. Philadelphia that has been getting beat by outside receivers all year.  Thomas is a great pick regardless of defense but becomes an even better play this weekend.  High volume of targets, great high floor with elite upside.

Odell Beckham Jr. - $8,400 - Giants

  • You can save a couple bucks and drop down to OBJ who also is in a great matchup vs. Tampa Bay's horrendous secondary.  Every game this season Tampa has played in seems to go off the charts in terms of points scored.  Giants showed some promise last week with Eli looking more often OBJs way.  Sure enough, with more usage, the Giants came away with a win.  I love OBJ again this weekend at home.

Golden Tate - $5,500 - Eagles

  • Flipping the script here, I also like basically any receiver on the Eagles vs. the Saints bad secondary.  The Saints have been bad all year vs. receivers and if you want to drill down a little deeper, they have been getting touched by inside receivers.  Tate didn't play much last week as a new member on the team, seeing only 18 offensive snaps, but all indications by the Eagles coaching staff indicate he should be more involved this week.  I love the matchup and as long as he gets on the field, his upside is really high.

Amari Cooper - $5,400 - Cowboys

  • Cooper has finally found a home where he is getting basically force fed the ball.  He is a an elite upside receiver that just was in a bad spot in Oakland.  The Cowboys on the other hand seem determined to get him the ball which has been great so far.  His price is still depressed, so get him while you can.  With Zeke or without Zeke, it doesn't matter, fit him in your lineup.

Those are some of my top plays for Week 11 at the wide receiver position.  As always, good luck out there and lets win some money!
