At the press event of the 2018 Itzu Triteam we met an exited Kenneth Vandendriessche, who, after a convincing win in the International Lanzarote Duathlon, is filled with confidence to make 2018 a top year. We managed to take some of his time, just before he left for the airport to go to South Africa to attack the first goal of the season: 70.3 Ironman of South Africa. Both Kenneth, coach Luc Van Lierde and team manager Koen Janssen expect a more than decent performance. Kenneths main goal is further down the road; the WC course 70.3 Nice in 2019 is built to his liking.

Luc Van Lierde states that Kenneth has never been stronger, even his swimming skills are improving. In the interview Kenneth elaborates about his impressing victory in Lanzarote, his brand new Ridley Dean Fast (customized in black metallic with yellow Itzu accents), how 70.3 Luxemburg will be his home race (due to the lack of Belgian races on his program) and how he looks forward to a WC on a course to his liking.
