Tax Case, Mourinho Pay Fines to Avoid Entry Prison

Jose Mourinho admitted two tax cases were alleged to him. In order to avoid going to jail, Mourinho is willing to pay a fine.

Mundo Deportivo told Mourinho of reaching an agreement with a public prosecutor in Spain who accused him of being involved in a tax case. The Portuguese manager was previously considered to be embezzling a tax worth 2.9 million pounds.

Over tax evasion Mourinho threatened imprisonment. But he claimed to acknowledge the action and was willing to pay a fine of 703,000 pounds

The case of alleged tax evasion by Mourinho has been investigated by the Madrid court since last year. In November 2007 Mourinho called 'his case was closed' because he had paid all the delinquent taxes.

But the Spanish prosecutor said there were still allegations directed at Mourinho.

The case of tax evasion by Mourinho occurred in 2011 and 2012, when he did not pay his image right. Another charge states Mourinho is giving wrong information on Spanish tax service authorities by 2015.
