Steemit Scramble Results – THE PLAYERS Championship

South Korea’s Si Woo Kim took home the title of this year’s THE PLAYERS Champion. He is the tournament’s youngest champion at 21 years old and shot a -10 over the four-day span in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Si Woo Kim won the first place purse of $1.89 million.

Our prizes here aren’t as large yet, but these are the results of this week’s Steemit Scramble:

The 2x multiplier was the number of birdies on the 17th hole, which was 68. The closest to that total was @hellhen, who guessed 74. So, @hellhen was able to double their points from 4 to 8 for the week, plus the 5-point bonus for a unique golfer combination.

The total pot for the weekly contest was 32.80 SBD. The 1st place contestant received 16.40 and the 2nd place contestants each received 8.20 SBD. Here is the proof of payout:

Please keep in mind that all points will accumulate for the monthly and season-long contests. Here are the top-10 contestants for the Scramble through the current month’s standings. The top-5 contestants each month will receive prizes and the top-10 for the season will also receive prizes. The current monthly contest will run through the end of June.

Tournament Information

TPC Four Seasons Resort – Irving, Texas

The PGA Tour is heading back to Texas this week for the AT&T Byron Nelson tournament. The TPC Four Seasons Las Colinas golf course is a 7,166-yard par-70 championship course. Sergio Garcia is the defending champion, shooting a -15 in last year’s tournament and beating Brooks Koepka in a one-hole playoff. Both players are in the field for this year’s tournament, along with many other top stars on the PGA Tour.

The current weather forecast for Irving, Texas shows high temperatures varying between 75 and 91 degrees with thunderstorms and moderate to strong wind on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Sunday should be a more pleasant day and hopeful finish for the tournament.

Player Selections and Multiplier

For the weekly Steemit Scramble, select three golfers from the tournament field that you believe will perform well and finish highest in the final standings. Based on the final results of the tournament, golfers will be assigned the following points:

THIS WEEK’S 2x MULTIPLIER: Pick Sergio Garcia’s final score in relation to par. (Example: +2, -11.) The closest participant to the multiplier statistic will earn DOUBLE their total points for the week.

AN ADDITIONAL 5-POINT BONUS will be awarded to all unique golfer combinations. The bonus will be added to the contestants’ point totals AFTER the multiplier has been calculated. If two or more contestants choose the same golfers for the contest, then the contestant who entered their selections first will receive the bonus.

How to Play and Win

1. In a comment on this post, submit your three golfers and your prediction for the weekly multiplier. ONLY ONE COMMENT SUBMISSION PER USER, PER WEEKLY CONTEST.

2. Submissions will be confirmed at the start of the weekly tournament. ALL CONTEST SUBMISSIONS MUST BE ENTERED PRIOR TO THE SCHEDULED START TIME AT THE FIRST TEE ON THE OPENING DAY OF THE TOURNAMENT. Late submissions and any edits after that time will be automatically disqualified from the weekly contest.

3. There will be three winners each week. The winners will be the contestants with the most points gained, based on the points distribution outlined in Player Selections and Multiplier. All point totals earned from all contestants will carry over for the monthly and season-long contests.

4. The contest is funded with a minimum pot of 10 SBD. The total weekly pot distribution will be divided as follows:

1st	50%
2nd	30%
3rd	20%

In the event of a tie, the pot will be split between the tying contestants. If the tie occurs for third place, then all tying contestants will split the 20% payout. If the tie occurs in first or second place, then the tying contestants will split the total payout for those places.

Example: A two-way tie for first place will split 80% of the pot (50% + 30%) and third place will receive the remaining 20%. A three-way tie for second place will split 50% of the pot (30% + 20%) and first place will receive the allotted 50%.
