Cebu School of Chess conducts Summer chess camp

For the individuals who wants to play chess, there would be a Summer Chess Camp organized by Cebu School of Chess which will be held at 2nd floor at Cebu Coliseum this April 1 until May 30. The mentor for this camp will be International Master Kim Steven Yap, one of the candidate who will become a Grandmaster. Yap obtain his first GM norm when he got the second spot in Barkeley Chess School Summer IM/GM Norm Tournament at Backeley, California, USA a year ago 2018.

Yap is the son of the International Arbiter and World Chess Federation chess instructor Lincoln Yap, who is likewise the owner of the Cebu School of Chess. For those who are interested for the 2 month summer camp, the registration fee is P4,500. One month will cost 2,800, one week will be P750 while daily will cost P180. There is also a training for individuals who wants it during saturday which cost P2,200. Yap will conduct a tryout for individuals who wants be a part of the chess team formed by him starting from May 28-30. The winners will receive free scholarship and cash prize.
