Toni Kroos fulfills the dream of a blind child
Hello friends of Steemit, especially lovers of sport especially football, I hope you are well. Today I will tell you about a very special moment between a great player recognized worldwide and a little one with a disability.
It all happened on the eve of the UEFA European Super Cup, when German midfielder Toni Kroos fulfilled the dream of a blind child from Estonia to meet his greatest idol.
The little Aron was born without being able to see for that reason grew up listening to the stories and cries of the fans for the German player, the news told by his family made him become one of his biggest fans. That's why his biggest dream has always been to meet him in person, even though he was condemned for his blindness he always maintained hope.
Over the years, football has advanced to the level of tactics, rules and social inclusion, thanks to a campaign promoted by UEFA, called "Equal Game" that seeks to benefit disabled children or disadvantaged sectors, were the architects of the big game.
Before Real Madrid faced Atlético de Madrid to play in the 2018 European Super Cup, little Aron waited in the dressing rooms of the merengue team for his dream to come true, then Toni Kroos appeared greeting the little one, who imagined how the face of his idol would look. Aron proceeded to touch with his fingers the face of the Madrid player, who did not stop smiling.
Both the little one and Toni felt very happy, it was a very emotional and wonderful moment, when Aron imagines the face of his favorite player with the fingers of his hands.
Not only was Aron the only one favoured, other disabled children also had the opportunity to meet the stars they admire, players like Sergio Ramo or Antonie Griezmann shared unique moments with the little ones, who performed a song before the match started and became the real protagonists of the match.
Although Real Madrid was defeated by Atlético de Madrid 4 goals to 2, both the German player and the little Aron always carried in their minds the memory of that moving encounter that meant a lot for the life of each of them.
