Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro was born on February 5, 1985, in Funchal, on the island of Madeira, Portugal. Born into a poor family, Ronaldo showed his passion for football from a young age. His father worked as a kit man at a local amateur football club, where Ronaldo began playing football.

Ronaldo's talents were quickly recognized, and at the age of 12, he joined the youth academy of Sporting CP. After several successful years at Sporting, he was signed by the famous English football club Manchester United in 2003. At Manchester United, Ronaldo developed his skills further and became known worldwide as a top footballer.

His outstanding performances at Manchester United caught the attention of Real Madrid, and in 2009, he transferred to the Spanish giants.
