Running on trails with dry feet
One thing I hate most in running or trail running is when I get my feet wet! And because Finland is Finland, it rains a lot. Specially now when fall is turning into winter. I hope weather turns colder soon and that water turns into snow. I like snow not only because it's not as wet as water but also because it brings us more light. It's sooo dark here right now.
But.. Because I hate getting my feet wet, I had to do something to that. I bought myself new running socks. Or actually they're walking socks but they worked as well in running. I tried them on last Saturday when we went for our weekly trail run. And guess what??!!
They kept my feet dry and warm even when I run right through water and it splashed all around the trails. My feet were warm when we returned home 2 hrs later.
I really can recommend to get a pair of Sealskinz, they do work!
Last month I ran 37 km. During the race we cross a lot of streams... And it was really painful...
I run with some slab wings 8 and the template start to slice to the front and the socks were always wet...
I ended removing the template from the shoes and running without socks.
Were I usually run, the weather is dry, but think I need some like these just in case for the next time...
Thanks for sharing and greetings from Mexico.
They have different kind of socks, these are thinnest and fit well in my trail running shoes. You need to be careful when buying these, because they also have running socks which aren't waterproof.
