Nashville Sounds - Baseball Game // Nonton Pertandingan Kasti
Do you like baseball game?
We went to see a baseball game while vacationing in Nashville and it was sooooo fun to be there. The night was just beautiful.

Itu loh yang mirip banget sama kasti/bola gebok
Nah tempo hari aku sekeluarga nonton perlombaan baseball. Seru deh.
This was the first time I ever went to a baseball game, I believe, or maybe I have been to local ones or schools games when I was younger, I just don't remember.
In Indonesia we have a similar game, called Kasti/Gebokan, it is more to softball than baseball tho, if I remember well. The last time I played Kasti was in the 80s haha So yeah, forgive me if I was wrong.
We went to see Nashville Sounds (from Nashville, Tennessee, obviously) against Round Rock Express (from Round Rock, Texas) at First Tennessee Park for Minor League Baseball.
Namanya juga sudah tua, aku ga ingat apa pernah nonton pertandingan baseball, mungkin pernah, waktu bapakku masih pegawai Unocal 76, sepertinya dulu di komplek perumahan para WNA pernah ada pertandingan entah softball entah baseball, tapi bener deh, dah jaman jebot, hilang ingatan aku ahahha
Nah kemarin pas jalan-jalan ke Nashville, di Amrik, pas kami diundang untuk nonton, dan kebetulan tiket yang kami dapat, tempat duduknya lumayan banget, dekat sama kantinnya hahaha Sudah tau kan, berarti sering makan dan sering minum, kemaruk deh :P
I can't imagine if it was Major League, even the Minor League was superb, the Major would be extra tremendous, I bet. But dammitt, there was no kissing-on-screen moment hahaha
Our seating was nice too, we had a special area booked, called AMI Power Alley, so we had exclusive hospitality host, ate fries and salsa nachos too much but not enough booze, darnit haha
Sering kan kalau di film-film bule tuh ada pertandingan baseball, nah bener deh, seru abis. Mungkin serasa nonton SEA GAMES pas sepak bola Indonesia lawan negara mana gitu, tapi minus ribut-ribut ehehe
Padahal sih pertandingan yang kami datangi, hanya kelas bulu ketek, alias minor, bukan major, bayangkan kalau kelas terkenal misalnya New York Yankees, yang topi nya terkenal banget di Indonesia NY, wow!
Kids truly enjoyed the night as well, but of course not from watching the game, they could not care-less for it haha
There were bouncy castle and mini golf sections for the family with kids, popcorn vendors, ice cream vendors, so those were really helpful, altho I wish I could have just stayed at our seat and enjoy the game and drinks, you know. But such a life for a mama, baby sitting is like 24/7 :P
Anak-anakpun sangat menikmati malam itu. Dari jam 5.30 hingga jam 11 malam, kebayang senang banget, boleh begadang hahaha Terutama lagi karena meski anak-anak kurang menikmati pertandingan, namun di arena tuh banyak permainan lainnya, misalnya mini golf, arena lompat-lompat dll Belum lagi karena banyak pedagang kaki lima juga, dari es krim, popcorn, soda, dll Jadi yah seru juga buat anak-anak.
The stadium was full, so much laughter and drunk people, which naturally some cops were to be seen as well.
One point I took the boys to the washroom, and while waiting for my 8 yo, my 4 yo and I were outside and babe said hello to a guy. He was so happy that my boy greeted him and whatnot. Later on, the same guy was brought down by the police officers, with force. Too drunk. What a wild night haha.
Stadion olahraganya malam itu penuh banget, ribut banget, ramai banget deh. Dan tentunya karena memang budaya orang luar, banyak alkohol juga seliweran, dan kalau ada alkohol pasti ada pak polisi kan, jadi yah meski banyak yang minum, malam itu aman dan tentram. T-o-p B-g-t deh.
Ada aja sih yang kalau mabuk pasti ngomel-ngomel, namun pak polisi cepat mengatasi, jadi anak-anakpun ga takut.
I gotta say, whoever was singing the National Anthem, beautiful voice, thumbs up for sure, which I was an idiot for not recording her. It happened just too fast, we arrived, we were just about to settle down on our seat, and national anthem started. So I did not get the chance to even think about making a video of the opening ceremony, rookie mistake :P
Watching a live game is so much fun when you are actually right there, at the stadium, you know. It's just different feeling than watching on the big screen at your home or even at a bar, watching together with your buddies or strangers, it is just not the same, IMO.
Waktu kami baru tiba, para pemain sih lagi pemanasan. Pas kami sedang cari dimana letak tempat duduk kami, eeeh dah mulai penyanyian lagu nasional. Aku ga sempat ambil HP untuk rekam, euy. Padahal penyanyinya suaranya bagus banget, merdu deh. Emang sih Nashville kan kota musisi, banyak talenta yang joss.
Nonton pertandingan secara langsung memang jauh lebih seru kan yah, ketimbang nonton di TV ataupun di restauran meski bareng teman-teman. Kalau live di depan kita, kan bisa ikutan nangkep bola hahaha Kaliii aja kan yah ;-)
That night was also the first time I learned about giving a tip even to an ice cream cart seller. I mean yes, we would say keep the change to anyone we buy stuff from be it at store, at farmer's market, and whatnot, but to actually required giving a tip to a pop sickle, is something new.
Dan malam itu akupun belajar hal baru akan budaya orang Amrik. Disana tuh semua penjual baik makanan, barang, maupun jasa, kan diberi tip, begitu pula di Kanada, namun, ternyata tukang jualan yang misalnya seperti abang tukang putu bambu gitu, mereka pun kudu kita kasih tip.
Highlight of the night tho, was this!
Music City = Art City. Even the bike rack is a piece of art, and since it is located at the stadium, it's in the form of glove/mitt, with a baseball ball. How cool! And of course, you spotted the giant guitar right? :D
Bagiku yang paling berkesan malam itu adalah benda seni dibawah ini.
Mentang-mentang kota musik, penuh dengan pajangan seni sana sini, sampai-sampai untuk tempat sepeda umum saja, bentuknya mirip dengan sarung tangan kasti dan juga bola kasti, karena letaknya kan dekat dengan stadion hahahaah Hebat!

haha! what fun! I think every item in Nashville is shaped like a guitar! lol. you couldn't have enjoyed that game! no way. too boring.
but the rest looks great kitchenfairy and you can look back on it and dream of nice weather! lol.
