The Munich air disaster is one of the biggest tragedies in sport and aviation world. It was a snowy day in Munich, Germany. The date was 6 February 1958. The legendary players of Manchester United and some journalists were in the plane waiting for the third attempt to take off from Munich airport and go back to Manchester. In its third attempt, plane couldn't take off because of ice on the runway and the huge plane crashed leaving many casualties and injured people behind.

Münich hava faciası spor ve havacılık dünyasındaki en büyük trajedilerden birisidir. Münich, Almanya'da karlı bir gündü. Tarih 6 şubat 1958'i gösteriyordu. Manchester United takımının efsane oyuncuları bazı gazeteciler ile birlikte Munich havalimanından kalkmak ve Manchester'a dönmek için üçüncü denemeyi bekliyorlardı. Pilotun üçüncü denemesinde, uçak zemindeki buzdan dolayı kalkmadı ve devasa uçak arkasında birçok ölü ve yaralı insan bırakarak, kalkış yapamadan kaza yaptı.

Busby team which was the nick-name of the team were returning from Belgrade, Yugoslavia. They couldn't have direct flight to Manchester as the plane wasn't good enough. Manchester United was in the second position in league and they were going really well in Europe too.

In this tragedy, 23 people , including 8 footballers from Manchester United died. There were also 21 survivors who were lucky enough to continue their lifes. This team was expected to be legendary generation of England. Unfortunately, The life ended for some of them in this terrible accident.

It has been almost 50 years after this tragedy. Manchester club and its fans will never forget them. This team lost half of their players and couldn't recover for 10 years to build a strong team again. Like manchester fans always say, they will never die and be forgotten.
