What would you do for Shohei Ohtani?

The process of the Japanese Babe Ruth to the MLB has started. His agent plans to send out questionnaires to all MLB teams asking how he will be used. This is actually really cool. For the first time, it won't be about money, its all about the desire of the player. Ohtani will only be able to make around 3.5 million a year based on every remaining teams international signing money left over from 17-18' season.

AL OR NL?

I have to believe it would be an AL team. It's hard to see an National League team allowing a pitcher with a career 2.52 ERA play the field. Especially if your signing him with the idea to be your teams ace. Now if your loaded already in your rotation, its a risk but I see no reason to allow this. AL teams have the option to propose the DH spot for 3 days after a start then rest a day before starting the following. This has to be an ideal scenario.

Teams in play?

Yankees- Japanese " Babe Ruth", and thinking about the marketing opportunities like Godzilla had coming into the league.

Rangers- They did land Yu Darvish back in 2012. If they retain him, is it possible they pair the two?

Twins-Interesting right? They had a strong season last year and made it into the wild card game. Someone like Ohtani seems to be high on their priority to help push them past the wild card, for a deeper playoff run. Are the Twins looking to bring in both Darvish and Ohtani?

All in all. This will be a early Christmas gift for whoever Shohei decides to play for. Two years of control with minimal pay comparable to a top ace who makes $20 million. My proposal would be, you tell us what your going to do.
