The European Zone World Cup qualification has been completed. There are nine teams who have qualified for Russia and there are still eight teams who will fight for four tickets left for the euro zone.

Slovakia became the most unlucky team because the runner-up status of the group F they have did not bring them to appear in the play-offs.
The nine teams that have already secured direct escapes to Russia are France (group A), Portugal (B), Germany (C), Serbia (D), Poland (E), United Kingdom (F), Spain (G), Belgium (H) , and Iceland (I).

While the eight best runners up to play in the play-off round are Sweden (group A), Switzerland (B), Northern Ireland (C), Ireland (D), Denmark (E), Italy (G) , and Croatia (I).
The play-off draw will take place in Zurich on 17 October. The lottery determination is based on the latest FIFA rankings in October. Later eight countries in the play-off round are grouped into superior and non-seeded countries. The four existing parties will feature leading teams vs non-seed teams.
When viewing the list of UEFA rankings in September, following the order of participating countries play-off: Switzerland (7), Italy (17), Croatia (18), Northern Ireland (20), Sweden (23), Denmark (26), Ireland (34), and Greece (47).
The composition itself can change in the latest ranking release this October, based on the performance of each country in the last two games they played in the past week.
The play-off round will be played in two legs. The first leg will take place on November 9-11 while the second leg will be played on November 12-14.
