Kit-cars were legendary type of cars with atmospheric 2 liters engines with power up to 320 bhp. Some of them were Citroen Xsara Kit-car, Peugeot 306 Maxi, Renault Megane Maxi, Seat Ibiza Kit-car, Nissan Almera Kit-car, Ford Escort Kit-car etc. Some of the engines were revving up to 11000 rpm.
Citroen Xsara Kit-car and Peugeot 306 Maxi dominated on tarmac while Seat Ibiza Kit car on gravel. But Citroen Xsara Kit-car even won in 1999 on Tour de Corse and Rally Catalunya against WRC car with P. Bugalski behind the wheel. I remember those days well because I watched the last special stage on Eurosport live when Bugalski won.
