Onboard rally video of the day - Bugalski with Citroen Xsara kit car

Philippe Bugalski was the only driver who succeeded a win with the F2 car (atmospheric engine with front wheel drive, around 320bhp, 280kg lighter then the WRC cars at that time) on some WRC rally against the WRC opposition.

He did twice - on Corsica and in Catalunya, both rallies in 1999 season.

I remember that I watched the live show on Eurosport from Catalunya.

That was really success. WRC drivers complained that F2 cars ste to light. Carlos Sainz sr was probably the loudest from all of them.

After that Citroen launched Xsara WRC and the rest is history.

Life can be cruel sometimes and that's what happened to Bugalski who felt from the tree and died because of injuries. That happened in 2012.

So, today's video of the day belongs to Philippe Bugalski and his Xsara.
