Breen tested with Citroen for Rally Catalunya

Craig Breen is still without a team for 2019. He hadn't best results this season, partly because of the car and partly because he is still not experienced enough. It won't be easy for him to find a paid job. Citroen was his best chance for the better future. He stayed with them for a two years as a works driver and that was his best chance in this sport.

If you look at the whole thing for real, there are around 11-12 seats available at the works teams and that means there're around 12 the best rally drivers in the world driving that cars. You must be seriously quick to become a works driver. You can probably find a seat in a WRC2 works team, driving R5 car but that's a step behind if you already had a season in the WRC car.

Look at Camilli or Lefebvre... They had their full seasons at the works team in a WRC machinery and they are now driving R5 cars for a works teams. But what progress did they make. Very small progress, I would say. They are still in the sport. Nothing else.

Breen has two more outings with the Citroen World Rally Team - Catalunya and Australia. They are testing extensively at the moment because they are preparing for 2019 season in the best way. There won't be any excuses next year. So, they are developing right now, the suspension and everything.

The engine is full of power, one of the strongest in the series, say video analyses. So why not to trust them. But something is wrong with the suspension and the handling.

We have electronic differentials in this modern WRC cars and it's really hard to find the best set-up for it. It must be really good development driver behind it to help the team to find the best balance for the car.

Citroen still didn't find it but there is some light at the end of the tunnel. So maybe they can hope for something better. They have great history behind them so why not to have some faith in them?!
