So the news has broke today that Manchester United have out manoeuvred current premier league champions Chelsea in the signing of Romelu Lukaku with a player medical being done as soon as today.

The bid of £75 million offered by Manchester United was seemingly match by Chelsea - The team that sold him for around £29 million in 2014.

The big Belgian scored 25 league goals last season for Everton so looks the perfect replacement Zlatan Ibrahimovic who was Manchester United top goal scorer last season. Will Lukaku offer the fire power needed to lift Manchester United to the league title next season?

With Romelu Lukaku on his way to Old Trafford this is now paving the way for Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney a move back to his boyhood club Everton - To me this seems like a good bit of business for Everton Rooney may not be the player he was in his early 20's but i feel he still has more to offer to the premier league.

Rooney is the all time leading goal scorer for England and Manchester United with only 1 record that is eluding him the premier league all time top goal scorer, Currently held by Alan Shearer on 260 , Rooney is 2nd on the list with 198 so will this new lease of life be what Rooney needs to catch Shearer?
