Horseback Archery Practice Session İn Aceh

I am coming back, this time i would like to tell you about our horseback archery daily practice session in our club PERDANA Aceh (Indonesian Horseback Archery Organisation) and PORDASI Langsa. Our horses Marsya and Jade take parts. Marsya she loves always running on the grass field, playing there, and jumping around like be free :D She is an awesome horse with 140 cm height from her back line and a G2 arabian horse from his father. We feel so blessed to have her in our club. As she was the primadona and me too really like her just like my bestie :D you know when you talk to an animal and they just hearing you and stare at your face like they understand what you talk about, well they can be your bestie hehe :D :D :D

On the photo she was run on different step, first of all of course walking and then trot and canter, no gallop this time. And what we learn from our coach is basic horse riding like sitting in the right equestrian position with the good one line between your body, leg and the good line arms holding the reins. And to manage my good balance to not fall down from the horse. The horse actually never wants to drop us away, but sometimes because of one thing that makes him panic or stoping suddenly could make us lost our balance and fall from him. It always interesting to have an interaction with the horse. And what is the most important in practice horse riding is to be able to control which is giving a clear command to the horse so we help the horse to get to know which direction we want to go. I should deliver it clearly and understand by the horse so she would go to the direction i want.

On another day, Marsya and Jade were having a good time with Aceh horseback riders at one of our horseback archery ranges in Rantau Pertamina Field. Another range is in Langsa City. Marsya has 2 home in Aceh. So she could be in Langsa and Rantau Pertamina Field sometimes.

Sometimes Marsya meet the horsebow, she need to get to know any new things that will be use on riding her, so she know that this new thing will not hurt her and she then not panic. She need to get used to the sound of the bow when it release an arrow. she need to know that the arrow is not gonna hurt her. Like on the next picture, Marsya smelling the arrows and the quiver. I had posted about quiver on my latest post. So quiver is a side bag to store your arrow safely with a certain length good material. Normally its made from the cow skin.

Mr. Herman finally doing the horseback archery after many days training Marsya to get used to the sounds of the bow and arrows. And thank God, we will have our international horseback archery competition in Temboro this November 2018 with the participants from our neighborhood country like Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and others.

So, keep up practicing and we have also our woman practice session that i didnt put the photos here maybe next time. Besides the practising, we also learn to take care the horse, chose a good food to feed them, make sure he can access a clean fresh water to drink, the place for him to sleep, and clean it everytime, and showering her daily with shampoo, keep her clean everyday with no parasit. And just treat her well so you can be her lovely master :D
