Maybe I'm old-fashioned, a dinosaur, or what would be infinitely worse - a conservative; but, my idea of a fun evening doesn't include watching a biological man beat a biological women to a pulp, lift her in the air and turn around before slamming her to the ground, choking her out, and leaving her lying face down in a pool of her own blood.

Just not my thing.

It took me a little while to finally watch what happened in the fight between Alana McLaughlin and Celine Provost.
It would be funny if it weren't tragic.

The commentator started to make an argument in favor of McLaughlin being allowed to compete against women. The argument started with that it's really all about technique not strength, which immediately implies that the commentator was acknowledging the strength advantage. The commentator went on to elaborate saying that if you have bad technique that strength is...

He didn't get through his sentence before McLaughlin lifted Provost a few feet in the air using mostly upper body strength, turned her around and threw her to the ground.

Before I get too far into this, yeah, technique matters. That's why Fallon Fox was finally beaten by a woman. You can't always rely only on brut force alone; but, the possession of a strength advantage helps a lot.

That toss was not good technique. That was brute force. In my time wrestling we were never taught takedowns in which we lifted opponents in the air and threw them like rag dolls because it wasn't realistic to ever happen. There are "throws" in wrestling; but, they don't look like that.

Yeah, technique is important; but, when you're overpowered that much, your margin for error is zero and your opponents margin for error is damn wide.
