Prokhorov owns 100% of the Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center, worth an estimated $1.55 billion after debt.
Much of his fortune stems from the 2008 sale of his stake in metals giant Norilsk Nickel.
He has stakes in Russian aluminum, power, insurance, banking and media companies.
