My take on the champions league draws

• Group A Benfica, Man Utd, Basel, CSKA Moscow
• Group B Bayern Munich, PSG, Anderlecht, Celtic
• Group C Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Roma, Qarabag
• Group D Juventus, Barcelona, Olympiakos, Sporting
• Group E Spartak Moscow, Sevilla, Liverpool, Maribor
• Group F Shakhtar, Man City, Napoli, Feyenoord
• Group G Monaco, Porto, Besiktas, RB Leipzig
• Group H Real Madrid, Dortmund, Tottenham, APOEL

Looking at this draw critically and analyzing it from the English teams perspective you would notice that three of the English teams are in groups where they are expected to stroll through if they can play to their highest ability.

Manchester United: They probably got the easiest group of all five teams representing England. The only team who could pose a threat to them topping the group would be Portuguese Champions Benfica but considering the quality of players united have then i would think to say that it would be a very great task for Benfica to stop united from qualifying as group winners. I would expect that Basel and CSKA Moscow Fight for the Europa league spot.

Predictions: Man united as group winners Benfica to qualify as runners up,  CSKA Moscow in third and Basel in fourth.

Chelsea: For me personally i don't see Chelsea topping the group, they could make it out of the  group as runners up but i think Athletico would be to strong for them. The question is have they got enough players to compete in four different competition? If they buy good enough players in the remaining nine days of the transfer window then they would probably compete for second spot with Roma.

Predictions: Athletico as group winners Chelsea to qualify as runners up, Roma in third and Qarabag in fourth.

Man City:I would be highly disappointed if city do not top this group with the quality of players available and probably the best coach in the world in the dugout there is no doubting there would be displeasure at the ethihad stadium if they do not run away as group winners. The only team possible of causing an upset is a Napoli team who finds it hard to be consistent and don't come to the party when it matters most. Shakhtar could also be a torn in city's flesh but i still see them prevailing. 

 Predictions: City as group winners Napoli to qualify as runners up, Shakhtar in third and Feyenoord in fourth.

Liverpool: Its also should be a straight forward group for Liverpool if they can get their acts together in the defensive aspect of their game. Only Sevilla posts a major threats and liverpool should be reminded that this same Sevilla team beat them in the 2016 europa league final with a sublime second half performance but with the attack of Liverpool i still see them coming out on top in this group.

 Predictions: Liverpool as group winners Sevilla to qualify as runners up, Spartak Moscow in third and Maribor in fourth.

Tottenham: People say this is the toughest of all groups but i say it is the most straight forward group. I sincerly dont see Tottenham making it out of this group considering the quality of teams they are facing and their record at Wembely does not bode well for them. Home games are important in the champions league and if you cannot win your home games then you are bound to crash out at the first hurdle.

 Predictions: Real madrid as group winners Dortmurd to qualify as runners up, Tottenham in third and APOEL  in fourth.
