World Cup Russia 2018. - Croatia is coming...
Yes,we are coming.Yesterday we won in first match of additional qualifications against Greece by a result 4:1.
Tough opponent,traditionally unpleasant for Croatia with style of football which is all about defense and keeping their goal.
In six matches so far against them Croatia had only one win,but yesterday we pay them all and with the interest.
Of course it's not over yet,we still have a match in Greece,but i think that they cannot beat us enough to eliminate us from World Cup.
Croatia is simply a better team,and we found a form in right time.Through qualifications there was trouble,some defeats that almost compromise placement in Russia.
There was bad environment around team,because people are not agree with choice of selector and president and leaders of football association.
But with new selector we grab a place in additional qualifications,and we are make a big step towards Russia.
World Cup is exactly 20 years from first Croatian participation in this tournament,where we made history and won bronze medal with great generation of players.
Just some names to remind : Robert Prosinečki,Zvonimir Boban,Davor Šuker,Slaven Bilić,Robert Jarni,Mario Stanić,Igor Štimac,Aljoša Asanović...
Davor Šuker was top scorer of the tournament.
Maybe it's time again for some good result,since France 1998. Croatia never pass group stage.
Again we have very respectful team,and i think that no one wants us in a group.
We have players in biggest world clubs,Luka Modrić and Mateo Kovačić in Real Madrid,Ivan Rakitić in Barcelona,Mario Mandžukić and Marko Pjaca in Juventus,Ivan Perišić and Marcelo Brozović in Inter Milan,Nikola Kalinić in AC Milan....
To mention just few names...
We need some luck in draw,and we need to be strong first of all in our heads and believe in our strength and quality.
