Manchester City wins first test against Brighton

MANCHESTER, England (Reuters) - Manchester City started their English Premier League campaign with a 2-0 win over lowly Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.

Manchester United scored their second goal in the second half through Sergio Aguero in the 70th minute, and Luis Dink of Brighton shot the ball in the 75th minute.

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola took a 3-1-4-2 plot and involved three new deals, including backers Kyle Walker, Danilo with goalkeeper Ederson, defense trio Otamende, Vincent Kompany and John Stones.

In the center is Fernandinho, with Kevin de Bruin, David Silva behind the spearhead, Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero.

Manchester City outperformed the ball, but to no avail in the very slow preparation of the attack, the defensive bloc of his opponent.

The Manchester City players did not take advantage of five corner shots throughout the first half, and the team's attempts on the net were unimpressive, with poor shots from Bruin or straying to Danilo.

Guardiola's anxiety spilled, after the win was delayed, and threw the first offensive sheet by involving Leroy Sani, Danilo's place in the 68th minute.

In less than 5 minutes, the Brighton defense made two mistakes. De Bruin cut the ball from the middle of the pitch and quickly took the lead to David Silva.

Five minutes later, Fernandinho's right-footed cross from the right, completed by defender Luis Dink of Brighton, led Manchester City to the second goal.

Guardiola calmed down and took advantage of the last two steps to rest his players, involving Rahim Stirling, Bernardo Silva, Jesus and Sergio Aguero.

The Brighton manager responded with two offensive substitutions, involving Glenn Murray, Anthony Nukart, Tomer Heemide and Solly Marsh.

But desperation in the hearts of the hosts, amid Manchester City's superiority in possession of the ball and the killing of time, to win a deserved victory, and drops Brighton in the first test after his rise to the Premier League.
