Since 1959 the Dutch sport-man of the year contest is organised.

This year the Dutch Sport-men nominated are:

Tom Dumoulin, cycling
Michael van Gerwen, darts
Dylan Groenewegen, cycling
Kenley Jansen, baseball
Sjinkie Knegt, shorttrack
Sven Kramer, iceskating
Bauke Mollema, cycling
Kjeld Nuis, iceskating
Jan Smeekens, iceskating
Max Verstappen, carsport
Ferry Weertman, swimming

The result of the election is broadcast live by NOS | NOC*NSF on 19th of December 2017.

My favourite is Kenley Jansen, the Dodger closing pitcher!
