SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! BARKING SPIDER
Barking Spider is just around the corner seeking out its prey and taking its chances to do the necessary things to have it cornered. A dangerous predator is effective when it comes to the battlefield. Barking Spider is a ranged type-monster that can take a good hit from a distance. Its Blind ability is one threatening to the enemy melee and ranged monsters as it decreased their accuracy in hitting Barking Spider.
I will share a battle that I fully utilized the effectiveness of its ranged attack.
Details
In this battle there is two battle rule, one is the Equalizer in which it helps those small health points monsters to match those who are in high health. Second, that all neutral monsters are prohibited into the battle. The mana cap is 23 in which I am now sure where would I put my Barking Spider.
As we can see on the line up of my enemy, he uses all Level 1 which now gives me the advantage to win against him as he only uses Level 1 monsters. He relies on Undead Rexx to hold the frontline in order for its Death Elemental and Undead Archer to do the striking.
But I have also my Rexxie here that isn't giving any space of that undead monster.
My Line Up
Barking Spider, the only ranged that I use in this battle as I know that this monster can be very helpful in targeting enemies in a distance. That is why I put him at the last position just in case it arrives will not able to hold off.
I put Rexxie on the frontline as this monster can be really reliable and effective frontline as it has efficient melee damage as well as its speed is not that slow. It helps him the chance to attack first against enemy frontlines.
I put failed summoner at the second position to test its skills Magic Reflect hoping that there would be a magic type monster on the enemy lines in which I am right. I am not used to be using this kind of monster but some experiments would do sometimes.
I put Wood Nymph in the third position as a support to Rexxie just in case it could receive bombard damages from enemies. Even how low the health points of Wood Nymph, I still use her as I know that he could be a reliable support to her comrades when she is needed badly.
I put my Screeching Vulture on the fourth position as it helps targets those low health enemy monsters while avoiding enemies that have the sneak ability.
The Battle
During Round 1, my enemy Undead Rexx damaged badly wherein I see the struggles which are a positive sign that I will have the big chance of eliminating early its Undead Rexx. But it survives but only has the remaining 2 health points at the end of Round 1. While my Barking Spider is happily targeting it also.
In Round 2, his Undead Rexx was eliminated replacing Cursed SummerBall which has only 1 attack. Rexxie will able to handle this while other friendly monsters at the back are happily targeting it.
In Round 3, I can see now how my enemy now struggles. Even if my Barking Spider and others are hit by its melee monsters still it wasn't enough as most of his monsters does have only 1 attack point.
In Round 4, my Undead Rexxie was not able to hold it off anymore replaced with my Failed Summoner.
In Round 5, only remaining enemy monsters are three and I have still four on my side.
Our battle reached Round 8 which the last melee was eliminated, leaving only ranged attack monster disabled as it has no choice but to go to the frontline as no more enemy left.
Analysis
It was never an easy battle as even if the enemy has all Level 1 monsters still, he has a good combination of monsters, giving my monsters a hard time. Aside from that my Barking Spider was debuff making it to 1 ranged attack instead of 2. But still, my Barking Spider was never hopeless as it continues to deal with the needed damage towards enemy monsters.
