This week's battle challenge focuses on the Equalizer ruleset:

Equalizer: The initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health.

Ruleset

The equalizer ruleset essentially means that all monsters will have their health altered for the battle to be the same as the monster with the highest base health in the battle e.g. the Furious Chicken Monster has the possibility of having 10 health. This provides various options and possibilities as you will be able to play low-health monsters and allow you to maximise their abilities in which normal matches sometimes wouldn't be maximised to their vulnerability in terms of low health.

Battle

I think I made two mistakes in this battle. Firstly, playing a passive tank in the Peaceful Giant. As this battle was relatively low mana cap, I wanted to utilize the Peaceful Giant's large base health which would provide an advantage to the rest of the damage dealing monsters. Secondly, playing a low-level Ice Pixie. I love this Monster as she is low mana cost, but playing her at a lower level wasn't the right move. My opponent's Sea Monster just did too much damage throughout the battle and he was being kept alive by Crustacean King. Not playing a melee tank proved too costly in this battle and something I need to think about in terms of my overall playing strategy. Full Battle Replay
