Mirrors
This card is asking you to be a clean mirror for others. There is much need in your environment for clear guidance. The clear mirror is a gift from your heart space by which you assist others.
• Practice aware listening. Listen to others without judging their story, even if it seems outrageous to you.
• Be a channel for guidance. Allow your response to come from divine flow, not from your personal opinions.
• Be aware of your own beliefs, the patterns in your thought and behaviour. Through reflecting on your own bias, you clean and polish the mirror that you are for others.
By being in your heart space, being a mirror for others is a natural gift. This care for each other is what the world needs at this time. This care doesn’t ask more from you than to be in your heart, to let go of beliefs that you might carry.
When you are a clean mirror for others, it becomes easier and easier to evaluate the mirrors around you. You start to see which mirrors are clear and which ones are distorted by unconscious patterns and beliefs. This evaluation makes it easier for you to find clear mirrors in others when you are in need of guidance.
You don’t need to look into mirrors that are not so clear. If someone gives you such a mirror, you can simply give it back with love and compassion. There is no need to change or fix that mirror, please realise that everything has its place in the divine plan. Let go of judgement and involvement and simply be love.
You can provide a mirror for others when they ask, explicitly or implicitly. If they are not asking, simply let it go. There is no need to save anyone, the mirror is more like a service that you provide on request. Your heart can tell you about divine flow and divine timing.
Sometimes we can also have internal mirrors which are like colored glasses through which we see the world. Parents, caretakers and peers are childhood mirrors. Sometimes these mirrors can be very distorted, and you can be left with unhealthy beliefs and patterns of thought and behaviour. The mirrors then start to have a life of their own and become internalised.
When you have an internal mirror that is severely distorted, all mirrors start to look distorted. The clearer a mirror is, the more of the distortions you see in it. This is because the internal mirrors are coming up to be healed. Do not be discouraged when you find it hard to distinguish a clear mirror from an unclear one. It is a sign that you are in a healing process.
If you recognize this, something might be happening in your life that is bringing up your internal mirrors. You may feel overwhelmed with intense emotions such as fear or anger.
Allow yourself to look away from the internal mirror and into the pain. Let clarity come to you and then look at the mirror again. But this time you are looking at the mirror and not into it. You are seeing it for what it is, an old mirror that is no longer true in the present. Then you start to see that that old distorted mirror was never true.
