The Genius Within

in #spirituality7 years ago

People don’t go to school to become genius’s. The school system doesn’t create them either. Yet we seem to have this emphasis that education somehow gives us intelligence. So we tell our children that school is this incredibly important aspect of life that must be paid attention to if we want to be successful in life. So we enroll children in school, at the exact same time, we fill their minds with information, that distracts them from their dreams. So what do we get when that occurs? We get children that don’t want to learn things that they have zero interest in. The child may even be diagnosed with something called ADD. Attention Deficit Disorder. As an adult, now that you’ve gone through school, lets see how long you can pay attention to something you have no interest in… 5 minutes? 10 if you’re really lucky? Yet we expect children to do it for 12 years straight, and then we get mad at them when they come home with failing grades.

All children have a vision of what they want to do in life. Ask any child around the age of 5 - 10 years old, and they will tell you what they want to do, you’ll see the excitement in their eyes as they explain the details of what they envision. Now fast forward 10 more years and ask a 15 - 20 year old what they want to do with their lives. The first thing you notice, is the lack of excitement in their eyes. They explain what they want to do, but they’re too busy with so much other stuff, like part time jobs, homework and partying, for the lucky ones, and anxiety, anti-socialness, depression, and addiction for the unlucky ones. Some get a mix of the two. But in general, by the time children reach the age of 17, their dreams are all but forgotten, or unattainable. The education system has had them memorize stuff they forget right after they take the test, and prepared them for a job market that’s hard to even get into to begin with, to make minimum wage while trying to cope with high living expenses. And this becomes their new normal. This becomes their life. Now their dream in life is to get a minimum wage job, save money over a few years and maybe sometime in the future, they will be able to follow their dreams. Except this is a lie, something always happens, and there is always a reason to continue trying to save up, and around and around we go.

Then there is the idea of going to college, in debt, but continuing on to higher education. The odd person may actually be successful, but most end up studying for x amount of years to find that their job market in their chosen degree choice is so flooded that they have to take a minimum wage job while they search for a career job. Which they would start at the bottom of anyway, so that’s gonna take years to build… So no matter what you do, college or not, you’re stuck in the same rut as everyone else.

So what happened? Where did the excitement go? Where did the dream go? Each and every single one of us, is a genius in our own way. We all have something to offer the world, and we all have a dream of offering ourselves to the world. Education comes along and covers up the genius within us, but making us believe we’re educated now, and so we operate from what we’ve been taught, which is really simple knowledge that we will probably never actually apply in our daily lives. What we stopped doing, is we stopped dreaming, we stopped tuning into the genius within.

There is an intelligence that does not come from books, or classes. It doesn’t come from anywhere in the external world. It is where every inventor and successful person takes their ideas from, and then applies those ideas in the world. Most of us stop coming up with ideas once we’re educated. We put all of our focus into learning, and we never actually stop to think about it, how to expand on it or evolve it. We never try to unlearn something, because once it’s learned, it becomes this belief system that we cannot see beyond. However, we all have this ability to tune into it. Most of us are completely unaware of that ability, it should be taught in school…. if they really wanted us to advance our education, and unlock human potential, this would be taught in school. But the truth of the matter is, if schools created genius’s the economy of the world would not be able to sustain itself. Too many successful people would collapse the system. No one would be interested in running the machines, or flipping the burgers or delivering the pizza. So this is not taught in school. Human potential is bad for the economy. In order to maintain the status quo, the masses must be kept in ignorance of their own power, of their own genius, of their own ability to thrive. That is why the education system is the way it is.

Now I know, many people are reading this, and disagreeing with me. I am fully aware of your arguments. I can hear the voices in my head, “ but we need education” “ how can we learn anything without it?” If you understand how to tune into your inner genius, you will learn exactly what you need to know, because you have a will to learn it. A child that is born into a household of 4 different languages will learn all 4 languages fluently because that child must learn it to communicate. There is a reason, and a will to learn. Children are very good at learning quickly before they enter the school system. They soak up information and see how they can apply it. Learning is an innate ability, it doesn’t have to be taught in the way the school system teaches it. Children will learn to read and write if everyone else is reading and writing. They will learn math if their interest is in numbers. They will learn anything as long as they are interested in learning it. If they aren’t interested in learning it, it isn’t required for them to know it, their lifestyle will not include it. Children will then take what they learn, and apply it in the world, they will evolve it, and they will expand on it to untold potential, as long as they aren’t limited. As soon as they enter the education system, their ability and their will to learn gets worse and worse because it’s not designed to create genius’s.

Am I saying get rid of education, no. I’m saying get rid of the model of education that we currently have, and build a new model that caters to each specific child. Give them the support, tools, books, teachers, and help they need to allow them to soar to the greatest potential they have. Adults can do this as well, and learn just as quickly as children, if they tap into their inner genius. To open up to the universe of possibilities available to them, beyond what they believe they know. The mind can tune into a source of intelligence that is beyond the physical world, education can be about applying that intelligence, in the physical world. That is the missing piece of the education system. Most people will deny that this source of intelligence even exists at all, because it is a secret kept from them.

The Years after even got worse, having a house a job like the boy or girl next to You. Did YOU survive school ?
