When were the "days of vengeance"?

Let's see what Jesus has to say.

Jesus is talking to the DISCIPLES:

Luke 21:22
22 For THESE BE THE DAYS of vengeance, that ALL THINGS WHICH ARE WRITTEN may be FULFILLED.

What/When were the days??

Luke 21:20-22

20 “When you (the disciples) see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you (the disciples) will know that its (Jerusalem's) DESOLATION IS NEAR. (<--near to THEM)

(This event literally happened in AD70. The Roman Army surrounded Jerusalem. Jesus was warning the disciples of an event that would happen in THEIR lifetime, within one generation. A generation = 40 years. Jesus gave them this message in AD30.)

21 Then let THOSE who are in JUDEA flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city.

(Audience Relevance: THEY (those in Judea at THAT time) needed to flee to the mountains when Jerusalem was surrounded by the Roman Army.)

22 For THIS is the time (THAT was the time) of punishment in fulfillment of ALL THAT HAS BEEN WRITTEN. (<---Jesus said this)

My argument: Jesus was warning THEM of an event that happened to THEM.

The concept of reading ourselves into this narrative is man made.

The Biblical DAYS OF VENGEANCE were in the past.
