Spirituality, Education and the Lies we've been told

After traveling to many countries and learning so much about how people live in other parts of the World, I am very appreciative to have a venue like Steemit to express a lifetime of experiences. Hopefully, my impressions of the various realities we pass through in our lifetimes will help clarify the experiences in my own life as well as those experiences that humanity may share in common. Most people in most countries that I have visited are simply trying to get along with each other. Only through generations of social conditioning have we become the competitive, consumptive, unconnected beings that are now called humans.

I would like to refer to some of the great masters and adepts who once brought ideas of inclusiveness and generosity to our world, and to remind ourselves that many of the ideals promoted in the early days of our present era of civilizations are still at work in society waiting to be brought to the forefront of planetary issues and solutions. We are the 99% and change can occur; peeling away the many layers of illusion and deceit is a beginning. And as our hearts open, we will make choices much different than the ones driven by finance and greed. The only hope for a sustainable future is to care for all beings on the planet as we care about ourselves and our families.
