Alltheism - Decentralized "Religious" Architecture

in #spirituality6 years ago

From urbandictionary.com

Alltheism - The recognition of every individuals’ corporeal apparatus that allows each to believe whatever they want. It classifies religion into tools for specific uses and divides them into categories with comparison and correlation of similar elements and uses. It places the person above all belief and shuns the use of a single tool/Religion over another, in respect for the multitude of tools available.

Alltheist - A believer that accepts within all peoples there is inherently an apparatus to contact higher intelligence, and through experience and sentient life, everyone develops their own unique language to communicate with that intelligence.

I will only be addressing the above definitions.

In every body, in every person, there is a brain, a heart, a stomach, … etc, you get the picture. Each of us use these parts with relative unity. Although the specific elements, particles, and waves differ among person to person, the utilization is unified.

I know it might be argued some don’t use their brains or heart but this is a quality judgment based on expectations.

Everyone uses their body as a vehicle to get to where they desire, to experience what they desire, whether that be a physical stimulus or conjuring something in mind; we ALL use the corporeal body.

In this post the physical/corporeal body is considered a tool.

In this post all religions are considered tools.

All tools perform certain functions and when that specific job is completed that specific tool is put back in its place.

Is there a difference between Belief and Religion?

Yes, the difference is quiet clear, to me anyway. Religion is a practice or consistent repetition of rites and rituals. Belief is based upon experience (or inexperience as the case may be). Both can intertwine so that their differences are unlikely seen, but, both can exist independently from one another, and quite happily, I might add.

In short: Religions flesh out, make real, internal beliefs. Belief is more akin to an operating system or software.

Let’s talk Beliefs

What are Beliefs?

Beliefs are primary filters for sensory stimulus data, to put it simply.

We all, by living our lives, collect, compile, and activate beliefs as an underlying construct to focus desired sources of sensory stimulus data into our conscious awareness.

What do I mean?

There is a cacophony of stimulus currently swirling everywhere around you and inside you. It takes an act of conscious will to select a stream of data to focus on.

How do you focus your awareness onto specific minutia?

It doesn’t take present awareness to See, Feel, Hear, Smell; all these sensory organs operate autonomically. Consciously directing awareness to specific sensory organs allow streams of desired stimulus data to populate into our conscious awareness.

How do we direct our present awareness on desired stimulus data?

This is a matter of personal development, but, from 0 - 5 years of age we all practice using our meat suits. Fine tuning sensory organs and programming our conscious awareness to use these organs as an integrated platform to seek and compile experiential data.

My son is 2 years old now. He spent the last couple years literally feeling out his environment, practicing using his sensory organs. Then, combining this with physical manipulation of his body to focus desired stimulus into more acute senses. He would see or feel something he wanted to experience, move his limbs around to collect it, bring it closer, then, at first, he put whatever it was in his mouth. After developing his corporeal skills he now can walk to desired stimulus streams, manipulating his body to bring stimulus streams closer, then depending on the stimulus, use the appropriate sensing organ.

What does that have to do with beliefs?

Answering this in the definite will be hard because the depth of sensory stimulus data is far greater than our conscious awareness can fathom, and, this is the reason we develop beliefs. There is so much data to be quantified if we tried to do this consciously we would probably go mad, our burn out, or burn up.

My son for awhile was fascinated with the oven. He would try to touch the oven when it was on. My wife and I tried to reason with him that he shouldn’t touch it because he could get hurt. This was an obvious miscalculation on our parts because, there is no reasoning with a child. After about a year of trying to reason with him then giving into the fear of pain by removing him from the area; I decided to let him touch the oven while it was warming up. He did and he immediately started crying because it hurt. *it wasn’t hot but hot enough* He now knows to stay away from it, even going so far as to make us aware that it is hot. He created a belief around the sensation of heat. He tells us that the bath water is hot although it is warm and suitable for bathing, he collected the experience data from the oven and created a belief that all things that are hot will burn him, or at least deserve caution.

After collecting stimulus data we create beliefs(or fine tune) to better suit our experience. Direct learning is the best way to fine tune beliefs. Although, people can be head and shoulders deep into sensory stimulus and force themselves into disbelief by holding on or reinforcing their structures of belief. Like going into a haunted house and closing your eyes. The stimulus is still present but we shut of our sensing organs to DISBELIEVE.

Likewise, religious belief can alter our ability to sense what is real because of the way stimulus data is routed through individual belief structures.

One person may see an odd shape on a piece of toast and say that looks like a face. Another person may see that same shape and see a religious icon. Same data differing belief structures present the object with differing associations.

This is the crux of Alltheism.

The two people lived their lives in differing ways which precipitated the construction of beliefs, that when presented with the same experience, their conscious awareness seamlessly strings two differing views of the same stimulus.

Which one is right?

Both, respectively.

To each of us we see our way through this world based on our experiences. Based on our experience we are confident in our ability to collect, compile and activate experience-related beliefs.

Some of us were inculcated into a religious tradition.

Some had no religious upbringing.

All create belief structures to limit the onslaught of sensory stimulus so we have a meaningful life filled with what we desire to experience, and, limiting undesirable experience.

Example: Most can identify with having to travel in some way each day to go to work, school, here, there, wherever; we travel on roads to reach our desired destinations. We believe we will get there safe, although, by traveling on roads we increase our chances of injury/death by doing so. It is our belief that we will get to our destinations safely that outweighs the reality of present danger.

Data from National Highway Traffic Safety Administration:

Despite the increasing likelihood you will face physical harm while traveling on the motorways, or being near them, people still trek out to find the experiences they desire. This is the power of belief.

Here is an article about people who drink poison and hold poisonous snakes because they BELIEVE they will be protected.

These believers are no different then all of us who knowingly put ourselves into dangerous situations believing we are safe, when we are not.

It is my opinion there is no way to “Drive Safely,” one can “Drive Cautiously,” however.

Christians, Buddhists, Muslims, Zoroastrians, Agnostics, Atheists, Non-religious people alike, all through caution to the wind when entering a 2 ton metal cage and drive in close proximity and at death defying speeds.

Each, although, attributes their belief in safety to their particular deity, creed, or understanding. Even if no religious or spiritual belief is present, the belief in safety, provokes all to do unsafe things.

Beliefs are non-religious by nature. We can ascribe a religious dogma to the creation of beliefs, sure, but before there was religion there was belief.

Belief in the safety of a cave, a sharp stick, and a small fire were all that was necessary for proto-man to survive, thrive, and multiply.

Of course they, in those times, deified the elements they relied upon. Things like fire, the Sun, the Earth, the Moon. Some of these still hold places of reverence even in today’s society which is self-describedly, “more-evolved”.

Then is it too far a leap to see the deities of today, those harnessed and saddled with human misgivings, the infinite beings limited by limited minds, the anthropomorphized straw man floating in the clouds?

It may sound like I am atheist and I agree that last rhetorical question sounds on its surface like a denial of God. The only thing I am denying here is our collective ability to discern what IS God and those who are cursed with what is NOT God. Those demonized, marginalized, animalized, and cannibalized all under the hospices of honoring God. Not convinced?

Check out these verses in the Bible describing the complete ethnic cleansing of entire groups of people.

Exodus 12:29-30 Complete genocide of every first born baby in Egypt. God does that I guess, or, was it god?

Exodus 34:11-14 God(or god) commands Israelites to go into others' lands and cleanse it completely, destroying their holy places, smashing sacred stones, warning to not worship any other god, because their big “G” god was jealous! Jealous!? Jealous and Infinite Love are not related by any small sinew or fibre for correlation. Jealousy is an antonym to Love. Jealously is selfish love, or love of oneself over others(NOT Love).

Leviticus 26:7-9 War on “enemies” of Israel. Who decides who the enemy is?

1 Samuel 15:2-3 Ethnic Cleansing / Genocide

There’s more to be found here but that’s enough out of the Old Testament.

How about the Quran? The religion of Peace?

Quran 2:191-193 Ethnic Cleansing / Genocide

Quran 2:216 Muslims are supposed to fight because it is good for them.

Quran 3:151 Demonizing non-believers and other polytheistic religions(Christianity is considered polytheistic because 3 gods in one; trinity)

Quran 4:74 Those who fight for Allah will receive a reward if they are slain.

Enough right!?

A brief aside here: At what point are modern day christians going to fess up to the egregious but deeply held ritual of drinking the blood of their savior and eating his flesh? Cannibalizing their deity… Never made much sense to me when I was being indoctrinated to perform this action with reverence. But, when considering the previous verses from the Bible it is no much further in logic.

Why am I picking at popular religions if I myself am trying to say I believe in all of them?

This is easy to answer, I don’t believe in the religions themselves, I believe in the people who do believe and practice them, “They” have the same ability I have to create, compile and activate belief structures. Therefore, I, as an Alltheist, do not subscribe to the structures they use to contact and commune with higher intelligence, but I, as an Alltheist, recognize their ability to believe; whatever they wish.

How are atheistic beliefs(or non-beliefs) considered under the umbrella of Alltheism?

Despite whether we are aware of it or not we create and destroy beliefs every single day. Most have nothing to do with any religion but are based solely upon experience.

"I'm never gonna do THAT again!" -limiting belief that the same situation will be different.

"This stupid guy keeps getting in my lane!" -limiting belief that your experience should be just as important to others as it is to you.

Much like how my Son learned the lesson of hot surfaces, people get burned everyday, in every way, and in this way we as individuals, and as a collective, evolve and revolve cyclically around the same old topics of misunderstanding, ill-logic, and self-limiting belief structures.

What are self limiting-beliefs?

These sound like the following quote, “I don’t deserve to be happy,” or, “I must suffer because my savior suffered,” or, “If I’m a good person I will get what I want.”

There is no worst one, but, imho, "I will be saved from the circumstances I've created," is pretty far down on the list.

All of these, and many MANY more, limit ones’ ability to collect sensory data accurately because individual comprehension is colored by these statements, so that, when someone who doesn’t believe they deserve happiness, encounters happiness they, most likely, will not even pay attention to it, or even perceive it. This is because they have set up a structure to filter out the stimulus that will make them truly happy. Sure they may be happy from time to time but based on their specific belief structures, they cannot truly find happiness because they have limited their synergized-sensing-assembly.

Alltheism can be considered decentralized belief. Ad hoc constructions of appropriately composed beliefs.

Allow me more grace here to use Christianity, once again, as metaphor.

Believer A is a Catholic.

Believer B is a Baptist

Believer C is a 7th Day Adventist

All three are considered christians when speaking in terms of whether christianity is the one true religion, or not.

All three have deeply held beliefs that would provoke them to kill non-christians, and each other, should the religious incongruence surmount and subdue their humanity.

All three claim their version of belief to be the best.

Now lets look at Believer A as a category.

Believer A1 is Catholic from Italy

Believer A2 is from Chile

Believer A3 is from America

All three believe in the same religion, however, the individual constructions for each are differing, however slight. Each have, through their experience, chosen specific portions of their dogmatic tradition to adhere to, and the portions they let slide. Abortion to Believer A1 and A2 will, most likely, be not even a consideration. Believer A3, however, may due to the culture they live in, and the community they take part in, find abortion less of a sin, or even not a sin, overwriting Catholic doctrine for a version that better suits their experience.

Now lets go back to the first grouping, A, B, and C. The subject of abortion, again, will be unilaterally demonized by the religious sects, however, individual members within the grouping may again, overwrite religious dogma to better suit their experience.

I truly feel most people are innate Alltheists.

Why?

Most people are live and let live. Although the times in the Old Testament still echo into our current reality, en masse, most believers are happy to believe what they will and let others do the same.

I know what I am saying in the meme above. I totally deny the specific dogmas of many popular religions. But I will refer you back to the example of the differing christian denominations. Even among the same religious architecture their are wildly differing compositions. Moreover, using Jesus as exemplar; some believe they will be saved by Jesus no matter what they did. Some wipe the shit off of themselves with His legacy.

“I fucking killed someone, its alright though, Jesus forgives me. I bought an indulgence too. So I’m all set.”

I saw this meme that better illustrates my point.

Most Christians will deny that this logic is in play.

It’s alright guys, we see what’s really happening.

I am, perhaps surprising to those few whose attention I still have, writing this to unify believers, above and beyond their currently held beliefs.

The coming One-World religion will not be in any outward savior archetypes but a return to the eternal truth, which is, belief is self is the only belief worth cultivating. Belief in others is belief in self because there is no separation, in any real sense, between individuals within the creation. Those in the creation may draw lines in the sand and say, this is me, mine, not yours, but taking the whole creation as a whole, there is really no separation, just an endless series of elemental interactions(sub-atomic wave/particle mechanics).

Change is drastic, violent, and met with extreme prejudice. Everyone agrees the world we are living in needs some change. But what do we see? People doubling down on their limited belief structures.

Lets now talk about the near-sighted practice of defining God.

No matter how many words there are in the Bible, Quran, Bhagavad Gita, any/all religious text, taken individually and in concert; NONE can possibly describe an Infinite being without the very extreme caveat, “This is all a guess. Supposition based on the opinions of crazy old men”

Imagine a circle.

Imagine Everything you Can and Cannot Think of resides completely within the confines of this circle.

Imagine the skin of the circle to represent Nothing.

Now, inside the circle, containing everything knowable and everything unknowable, where is God?

I’ll just answer the question. Within the circle and Without. This is a clear metaphor for the books that describe an infinite God. All religious texts are small circles within the Circle. God is bigger than the texts, and, infinitely bigger than the Circle I use.

Once a definition is made, a finite boundary, its timely and just end is set into motion.

Here is an image that hopefully will demonstrate what I mean. Assumptions presented above are in play, I knowingly present this to you understanding there is no way to define an Infinite being.

Place your finger within the circle that best describes “Who’s Right.”

If you’ve placed your finger in a circle, guess what, You’re Right. Now just for fun place your finger in any other circle, guess what, You’re Right.

If the assumption, just for making my point clear, is held that everything and nothing can be defined then no matter what circle you’ve chosen, it will be the right decision(for you).

This is because when the assumption is equalized by our inability to accurately define what God is, without denying large and unfathomable portions, it is clear it doesn’t matter which one you choose, because eventually, the circle chosen will be widened by our continuous evolution in spirit.

Going forward.

If I have triggered a portion of your spirit that needs to lash out and force my opinions stated herein to be qualified by your personal belief structure then reply. I’ll be just and kind as this is apart of my belief structure.

If you have questions or comments of any kind, please feel free to leave them.

If you want to know more about how I construct beliefs I suggest reading two books;

The combination of these two sources, with discernment, will hopefully illicit a Universal sense of self within, without, and within all things.

I'll leave you with, perhaps, a new perspective on an old saying:

"Is the glass half full or half empty?" It is actually full and overflowing. We made the quality judgement that only water can be counted. The glass is completely full, half with water, but among the constituent elements within the vessel there is also, oxygen, nitrogen, carbon ... etc. All of our glasses are completely full all the time. It is how and what we consider "substance" that gives us the feeling of "emptiness," or "fullness." If we believe our glasses are half full/empty we are pre-selecting experiences that will reinforce this belief, while simultaneously ignoring stimuli that beset that self-limiting belief from all angles.

Doing what God told me to.

Sort:

Interesting post and topic. I believe it is just as important to look inward into our being before being able to attune to higher frequencies and evolve.

We are all part of the same high creator, and are in the process of elevating our frequencies in order to reunite with our higher self.

Thank you kindly for your most excellent reply!

You are right dear @ebargaing
